Touching experiences are good for us

You may have suspected that physical contact plays a big part in human relationships, but – according to recent research by a Swedish team – it seems to play a bigger part than most of us thought. As it turns out, touch is so important that it can make us take a more favourable view of someone who has touched us even slightly – even if we don’t remember the incident. In fact, the research shows that touching is such a powerful influence that even watching someone being touched can cause the same reaction as if we were touched ourselves.
